For three lovely days last month, the Gilded Girls were once again in residence.
We welcomed our biggest group ever to participate in "A Gilded Gathering"... three days of crowns and crumpets, soldering and sisterhood. It was a magical weekend.
First, there were the logistics. To accommodate 30, we finally had to agree that the long table just was not going to be adequate this time. Even at 24 feet long, it was still going to be a bit short for comfort. So we went with 5 round tables, and everyone agreed it was a pleasant arrangement. Easy to mingle, lots of room to move around.

We cut paper, we wired, we glued, we trimmed, we glittered. And when it was all said and done, 30 fabulous crowns emerged. A huge thank you to Graphic 45 Paper for their generous donation!
But Friday was not ready to be over just yet. We regrouped, re-shuffled, and then we had a very small but very compelling vendor night, accompanied by wine and hors d'oeuvres. Vendors included Girls Gone Junkin' from the famous Canton Trade Days, and the ever sweet Alisa Noble. It was a perfect ending to our first artful day.
And by the way, Gilded Girls know what they like, and they know how to shop! Just sayin'.
Oh, Saturday, what can I say about you?? You had me at hello. We made a lovely project that will be kept under wraps for now. Stay tuned for exciting news on that front...
There were giveaways all day, along with an amazing swag bag donated by the lovely Jo Packham. Jo graciously provided each attendee with the same bag that was given away at The Creative Connection Event, and we were beyond thrilled. We added some personal touches from our darling friends Margie and Angela, and the bags were just perfect! Thank you, Jo!!
Oh, and the food! There was lots and lots of yummy food. We all know that creativity requires nourishment, so we did our best to keep everyone adequately hydrated and well-fed.
And supplied with chocolate. Ahem.
Sunday saw us soldering and wire-wrapping our way to a gorgeous pendant necklace. Although there were quite a few first-time solderers, everyone did an amazing job!

This class photo was taken on Friday. Because we had a bit of a flex schedule at this event, not everyone was present on Friday. We love our weekend girls as well, and we'll get you in the next photo!!
