Absolutely giddy and exhausted from the excitement of these last three days. How did it go by so fast??

We are going to sleep for at least the next two days. And then we are going to share the photos.
Someone please alert the children and the dogs about the sleeping part.
Sometimes inspiration hits you in that tenderest of spots.
In that space where dreams live. Where innocence and delicate beauty stop your heart so completely that you are at once transfixed and transformed.
I am left breathless by the beauty of these photos. Martha Schuster of I See The Moon Photography has captured her lovely daughter in a way that can only be described as magical.
Just stunning. This child was destined to cast her gaze upon a camera lens.

With hardly a moment to spare ~ here are "sneak peeks" of the projects for The Gilded Gathering Art Event being held in Dallas in two weeks!! We are so excited to share these photos with you...
For those of you joining us for this amazing weekend, be prepared to have a wonderful time and make some truly stunning projects!
On Friday, we will be fashioning this gorgeous crown... a brand new Gilded Life design!!
Everything you need to complete this crown will be included in your kit. Please feel free to use your own paper if you wish for a truly one-of-a-kind crown!
Saturday we will stay within the "realm", and create a magical hanging crown! We have dubbed this project the "Crowndelier" and it is soon to become a Gilded Life signature piece. Be the first to make it with us!!
This project requires bringing out the stash of coveted trims and baubles. It will be most fun if everyone gives this project their own unique spin, and you will need to bring some supplies for this one. Think beautiful paper, tassel trim, gimp, fringes, oversized pearls, blingy brooches, buttons.... you get the picture. Bring on the good stuff!
We will provide the crown base, beaded chain for hanging, lots of seam binding, canvas-and-lace flowers, hardware cloth and wire. We will also have vintage dictionary pages to decoupage the inside of your crown. Please bring 3 sheets scrapbook paper or equivalent amount of art paper/wallpaper, along with your trim and "bling".
We will also be hanging ephemera and precious objects from our "Crowndelier", so think broken jewelry bits, tiny picture frames. soldered charms, bits of old lace, glittered birds. Anything goes!!
Finally, on Sunday (whew!), we will change gears and make this stunning soldered box pendant, and attach it to a gorgeous, layered chain dripping with charms and baubles. Everything needed to complete this project will be in your kit!
Bring your tool kit, your scissors, soldering supplies if you have them, your favorite stash of paper and trims, and most of all bring your sweet spirit, your sense of wonder and camaraderie, and your joy.
Yes, definitely bring the joy. We cannot wait to see you!!

Hard to believe it is Monday again already, but here it is... first week of October!
It is a truly gorgeous day in North Texas. Lovely Fall weather and the roses are blooming like crazy. Time to crank up the tunes in the studio and get to work!!!
So much to do, so many deadlines looming right now. It's almost too much excitement to take in, so we'll just tackle one day at a time and see where it leads us...
This is our loot from the bead show in Dallas this past weekend. It was not a very big show, and of course the "bling" is what caught our eyes! We are always inspired by crystal, vintage baubles and pearls, so of course these just had to come home with us.
And a fifty yard spool of tiny crystal chain?!? *faint*
These will definitely be featured in some very exciting projects being worked on right now. Shhhh... it's all very whispery and secret at the moment.
Almost too fragile to mention, lest we scare it all away. We will just try to keep our wits about us and work...
