Today was a good day.
Early morning blog wandering led me to the ever-fabulous Claudia at The Paris Apartment. I have had her book "The Paris Apartment" in my library since it was first published, and absolutely loved her store in New York.
She had recently posted these magical photos of Paris. There are many more here, but these really spoke to me on this gorgeous Fall day.
Wouldn't you love a peek behind this curtain? Or a peek out from behind this curtain? I am imagining that they are looking out to a view of the Eiffel Tower, or perhaps a long gaze along the Seine to Notre Dame. And I am imagining that the inside of this apartment is my dream space, because the outside most certainly is.
Heartbreakingly beautiful. Everything about this photo is perfection.
And this one... well, this one just makes me happy. Everything so quintessentially French.
The flowers, with their petals strewn about just so. The chair that is so very like one in our own studio. *swoon*
The allure of that street. What treasures lie just around the bend?
I am at once captivated and more than a bit wistful, thinking of that overwhelming sense of wonder that I always feel in Paris.
Today, these photos will just have to do.
These remarkable photos have prompted me to begin a series of posts called "Inspired Monday".
I would like to begin each new week with a renewed sense of wonder... a set of fresh eyes on the creative world.
Won't you please join me (and Shea:) on this journey?
