We are so very happy to be sharing the details of our upcoming Art & Communion Event with you ~ "The Gilded Nest". This promises to be a remarkable and inspiring weekend, and we are simply over-the-moon excited!!
This special three-day extravaganza will kick off on Friday, July 30, when bright and early we will board a party bus bound for Canton, Texas, where we will spend the day searching for treasures at the "largest flea market in the world". For those of you who are not familiar with Canton, please have a look here.
Saturday will feature popular and renowned folk artist Colleen Moody! Colleen's work is featured extensively in the newest Stampington publication "Prims ~ Art Inspired By A Bygone Era".

We are so excited to share that Colleen is designing a special project just for The Gilded Girls!! A little birdie told me it may be of a feathered variety, with a decidedly Gilded Twist. Eek!
Saturday evening we will unwind and recharge with a Gilded Girl After-Party !!! Refreshments, hors doeuvres and lovely desserts.... and to top it off, a small but exquisite vendor fair!!
Sunday will be a day of jewelry making with Shea Fragoso! Using sterling silver and semi-precious stones, you will create a gorgeous heirloom-quality bracelet. Shea will lead you through the creation of a beautiful hand-stamped focal-point bezel surrounded by Swarovski crystal, and then teach you the basics of wire-wrapping and jewelry construction. This is a great opportunity to either learn or refine your wire-wrapping skills while creating something truly lovely! Sneak peek of Shea's project will be posted soon.....
As usual, there will be lots of food, drinks, sweets and hugs provided throughout the weekend!!
This event is limited in size, is already generating lots of buzz, and will sell out quickly. Colleen has a devoted following, Shea is teaching an often-requested class, and who can resist a trip to Canton on a party bus?? :)
